Liz Callahan is the founding executive director of The CBO Center. She was an independent consultant for thirteen years and spent 20-plus years in nonprofits, academia, and government, including as vice president for Public Affairs and Marketing at Recording for the Blind and founding executive director of the Hudson County Coalition of Nonprofit Organizations. Her consulting areas include team development, business process improvement, collaborations, restructuring, board development, matrix management, management accountability, and planning and project management. She is a trained executive and relationship coach and holds a Master's degree in psychology from New School University .

Susan Fox has worked as an independent fundraising consultant to non-profit organizations since 1980 and has held the designation of Certified Fund Raising Executive since 1995. She provides services in strategic fundraising including grantwriting, appeal letter writing, public relations, major donor campaigns, feasibility studies, and development. She has led numerous workshops on fundraising throughout the United States and in Mexico and she has been an instructor at UC Berkeley Extension, the University of San Francisco and the University of Montana . Susan is the co-author, along with Cheryl Clarke , of “Grant Proposal Make-Over: Transform Your Request from No to Yes” , published by Jossey-Bass.

Over the years, she has counseled hundreds of nonprofit organizations of all sizes, including public charities, private foundations, supporting organizations, social welfare organizations, and social clubs. Cherie is a member of the American Bar Association's Nonprofit Corporations Committee, Exempt Organizations Committee, and International Committee on NGO and Not-for-Profit Organizations. She is also a member of the California Bar's Nonprofit and Unincorporated Organizations Committee and Tax Exempt Organizations Committee. She serves as a panel attorney for California Lawyers for the Arts and a member of Craigslist Foundation's Leadership Council.

Peer Roundtables are regular meetings designed to encourage peer learning, foster peer support, and support community building amongst members of the East Bay nonprofit community.

8:30 - 10:00 am, odd months in Oakland, even months in Pleasant Hill.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Once registered, you must notify The CBO Center at least two (2) full working days prior to the peer roundtable to effectively cancel your registration. If you cancel at least two (2) working days prior to the peer roundtable, you will receive a voucher which may be applied to future workshops. Vouchers are valid for twelve (12) months from the date they are issued, and may be used by anyone in your organization. Late-cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full amount of the peer roundtable and no voucher will be issued.

We reserve the right to cancel any peer roundtable; registrants will receive a full refund or credit for any peer roundtable cancelled by The CBO Center.
