In an effort to keep the Senate Finance Committee from legislating nonprofits to within an inch of their lives, Independent Sector has published a 32-page document listing principles for good governance and ethical practice. The Philanthropy Roundtable, however, is concerned that rather than ward off legislation, IS may have provided a blueprint for state and federal lawmakers. Read more here.
