Upcoming Roundtables

Peer Roundtables are regular meetings designed to encourage peer learning, foster peer support, and support community building amongst members of the East Bay nonprofit community.

Roundtables are structured informally as an alternative to workshops. Content is based on input from attendees, not on set curriculum. The format is conversational and ideas, comments, and questions are encouraged. Please see our calendar of events for a complete listing of all our programs, including roundtables.

Would you like to do a better job of fundraising online? Are you planning to strengthen your internet fundraising activities in the coming year? Join other executive directors and development directors in a conversation about the do’s and don’ts of online fundraising campaigns with internationally known trainer, author and consultant John Kenyon.

John Kenyon is a nonprofit technology strategist who has been helping nonprofits for over 16 years providing advice, teaching and writing about effective uses of technology. In the late 90’s he was Information Technology Director at San Francisco’s Management Center. John served as Training and Consulting Manager at Groundspring.org/Network for Good, helping organizations effectively use the Internet, before returning to private practice in 2005. He is an adjunct professor for the University of San Francisco’s Masters of Nonprofit Administration degree program that includes the Institute for Nonprofit Management.

John is a frequent speaker at universities and nonprofit conferences across the United States and abroad. His consulting practice concentrates on strategic uses of appropriate technologies with a focus on leveraging the internet.

As an executive director are you charged with leading major change in your organization? Are you facing significant changes in funding, needing to overhaul your board or instituting new programs?

Join us as we roll out a new, expanded format for our monthly executive director roundtables. We have asked two of our Affiliate Consultants to facilitate small group discussions about how can help guide your organization through major change. You will have the opportunity to talk with a group of your peers over a delicious breakfast, and get peer advice and guidance about the issues foremost on your mind.
